Your Safety Matters
1wen believes gambling should always be fun — a form of entertainment, never a financial strategy or an escape. This page explains everything we do to keep Filipino players safe, and everything you can do to stay in control of your gaming experience.
Our Position
At 1wen, we're genuinely proud of our game library — the JILI slots, the live dealer baccarat, the crash games, the bingo rooms. These are fun experiences built for Filipino players who enjoy them the same way others enjoy watching PBA games or heading to the mall on weekends. That's exactly what gambling should be: leisure.
But we also know that a small number of players can develop unhealthy relationships with gambling. Problem gambling affects not just the individual but their family, their work, and their community. Because 1wen serves Filipino families — from Manila to Cebu to Davao — we take this seriously at every level of how the platform is built and operated.
Responsible gaming at 1wen is not a page on a website. It's a set of real tools built into every account, a trained support team available 24/7, and a commitment to PAGCOR's responsible gaming standards that shows up in how we design features and handle sensitive situations.
If you ever feel your gambling is becoming more than entertainment — if you're chasing losses, spending money you can't afford to lose, or hiding your gambling from your family — please use the tools on this page. They're there for you, and using them is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Account Tools
Every tool below is available directly in your 1wen account settings — no need to contact support, no waiting period. You control them. Activate them at any time.
Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, per week, or per month. Once your limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets.
How to activate: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Deposit Limits.
Limit decreases take effect immediately. Limit increases require a 24-hour cooling-off period before activation.
Cap the total amount you're willing to lose within a chosen period. When your loss limit is hit, the platform automatically prevents further play until the period ends.
How to activate: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Loss Limits.
Applies across all game categories — slots, live casino, sports betting, bingo, and crash games.
Set a reminder that triggers after you've been playing for a specified duration — 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or a custom time you choose. The reminder appears as an in-session notification.
How to activate: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Session Reminders.
You can also set a hard session limit that logs you out automatically after the chosen duration.
Take a short break from the platform. Choose a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Your account is suspended for the chosen duration with no ability to log in.
How to activate: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Take a Break.
Cooling-off periods cannot be cancelled or shortened once activated. Plan accordingly.
Permanently or long-term exclude yourself from the 1wen platform. Choose from 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or permanent exclusion. Once active, no promotions will be sent and account access is blocked.
How to activate: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion, or contact support immediately.
Self-exclusion requests are irrevocable for the selected period. Requests to reopen an excluded account will not be processed until the exclusion period has fully elapsed.
Our support team includes trained responsible gaming agents who can activate any tool on your behalf immediately — in Filipino English — if you're struggling to access your account settings.
How to reach us: Live chat on the 1wen platform, available 24/7, or email [email protected].
If you say the words "self-exclusion" or "I need help with my gambling" in any support chat, your request escalates to a senior agent immediately.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is the most powerful responsible gaming tool 1wen offers. It is intended for members who feel their gambling is out of control and need a firm, enforceable break from the platform. Requesting self-exclusion is not a complicated process — it should never be.
Once self-exclusion is active, 1wen will: block all login attempts, stop all marketing communications (email, SMS, push notifications), and flag your account so that no new account can be created with the same identity documents during the exclusion period. Your wallet balance (real-money funds, excluding incomplete bonus wagers) will be returned to your verified withdrawal method upon request.
If you are in a crisis right now and cannot wait — contact our live support immediately and say "I need self-exclusion." It will be activated within minutes, not hours.
Log into your 1wen account
You need to be logged in to access your account settings. If you cannot remember your password, use the "Forgot Password" flow on the login page to reset it via your registered mobile number or email.
Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming
Tap your profile icon (top right) and select "Account Settings." Scroll to the "Responsible Gaming" section — it's a clearly labeled area, not buried in a menu.
Select "Self-Exclusion" and choose your period
Options are: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or permanent. If you are unsure, choose a longer period — you can always contact us after the exclusion ends to discuss reinstatement. You cannot shorten an active exclusion.
Confirm the request
You will be shown a summary screen confirming the duration and the consequences of self-exclusion. Check the acknowledgment box and tap "Confirm Self-Exclusion." The exclusion takes effect immediately — you will be logged out and cannot log back in.
Receive confirmation and retrieve your balance
A confirmation email is sent to your registered address. If you have a verified real-money balance in your account, email [email protected] with "Balance Withdrawal – Self-Excluded Account" in the subject line and we will process the return to your verified GCash, PayMaya, or bank account.
Self-Assessment
Most Filipino players gamble recreationally for years without any issues. But it's worth checking in with yourself honestly once in a while. The questions on the right are based on internationally recognised problem gambling screening tools.
If you answer "yes" to three or more of these questions, it may be worth talking to someone — whether that's a trusted family member, a friend, our 1wen support team, or a professional counsellor. These questions are not a clinical diagnosis, but they are a good starting point for an honest conversation with yourself.
Pagcor provides responsible gaming information and support resources through its official channels for Filipino players who need guidance beyond what 1wen's platform tools can offer.
Recognising a problem early makes it much easier to address. Answering these honestly — even privately, to yourself — is already a step in the right direction.
If you answered "yes" to Q8 or are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please stop and contact a mental health professional or crisis line immediately. Gambling problems are solvable — please reach out to people who can help you.
Common Misconceptions
Some beliefs about gambling can make problem gambling worse. Here are common myths Filipino players encounter — and the truth behind each one.
"I'm due for a win — I've lost so many times."
Reality: Each spin or round is independent. Past losses have zero influence on future outcomes. This belief — the "gambler's fallacy" — is one of the most dangerous traps in problem gambling.
"I can always win back what I lost if I keep going."
Reality: Chasing losses is the most common path into serious problem gambling. The longer you chase, the deeper the losses typically get. Set a budget and stick to it — always.
"Problem gambling only affects people who gamble every day."
Reality: Problem gambling is about the impact on your life, not the frequency. Someone who gambles once a week but loses rent money each time has a serious problem regardless of how often they play.
"I have a system — I know how to beat the odds."
Reality: Casino games are designed with a house edge — no betting system can overcome mathematics over the long run. Strategies can influence short-term variance, but the house edge always applies over time.
Family & Community
In the Philippines, gambling is often a social activity. Families play bingo together, groups of friends follow the same sports betting lines. That's a healthy part of Filipino culture — and 1wen supports it. But it also means that problem gambling can affect people close to you, not just yourself.
Protecting minors: The 21+ age restriction exists for a reason. Young people are more vulnerable to developing gambling addictions. If you have family members under 21 in your household, please ensure they cannot access your 1wen account. Enable a PIN or biometric lock on your device. Never share your login credentials with anyone.
If you're worried about someone else: If you believe a family member or friend has a gambling problem, the most helpful thing you can do is have an honest, non-judgmental conversation with them. Avoid enabling their gambling by covering debts or pretending not to notice. Encourage them to seek professional help and remind them that PAGCOR provides responsible gaming resources for Filipino players.
Third-party self-exclusion: If a family member is a registered 1wen member and you have reason to believe they cannot self-exclude themselves due to the severity of their problem gambling, contact our support team. We will work with you to understand the situation and take appropriate action within what our policies and applicable privacy laws permit.
Frequently borrowing money and being vague about what it's for
Unexplained financial problems despite having regular income
Becoming secretive about their phone, especially late at night
Mood swings linked to winning or losing — very excited after wins, very withdrawn after losses
Neglecting family responsibilities, work deadlines, or social commitments
Selling personal items or household belongings unexpectedly
Becoming defensive or angry when the topic of gambling comes up
Talking frequently about "the big win that will fix everything"
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) operates a national Responsible Gaming Program for Filipino players. PAGCOR's program includes player education materials, a national self-exclusion registry, and guidance on problem gambling resources available in the Philippines. As a PAGCOR-licensed operator, 1wen actively supports and aligns with these programs.
Filipino players who wish to access PAGCOR's responsible gaming resources directly can do so through PAGCOR's official channels at pagcor.ph. The national self-exclusion registry operated by PAGCOR covers all PAGCOR-licensed establishments, including 1wen. Registering with PAGCOR's national registry provides an additional layer of protection beyond 1wen's platform-level tools.
